Amparo Esquerdo, commitment, identity and evolution for the presidency of the band Unión Musical de Llíria

In the historical calendar of Llíria, March 27, 2021 will always be a special day. It will also be so for Amparo Esquerdo Aragó, the first woman to lead a project in the direction of a musical society in the municipality. She does it after 6 years of career in the management of the musical group, having until now occupied the position of vocal of the Integrated Centre on the Board of Directors led by José Vicente Pedrola, doing her utmost in order to perfect the school’s operating model.

Esquerdo was always clear that one of her main priorities was music, and, specifically, the Unión, to which she has belonged since childhood, encouraged by his family. Due to her teaching position at the school Sant Vicent Ferrer in Llíria, which she obtained after obtaining a place in tough competitive examinations, the new president has always been very close to the traditions of Llíria. That is why she is part of the Cofradía del Remei (local brotherhood), thus closely linked to the day-to-day of the Unión Musical that she now presides over, and which performs one of the most outstanding festivals within the festive life of the municipality.

To Esquerdo, the willingness to publicly serve is almost an obligation, for, as she has pointed out, “since I was little I have always had respect for people and institutions very much in mind.” She will therefore be the president of one of the main legs that support the ambitious project ‘Llíria City of Music’ by UNESCO, which places the capital of Camp de Túria as one of the nerve centres of international culture.

On a personal level, Amparo Esquerdo stands out for being a very familiar woman. She is married, with 3 children and 2 grandchildren, she has always been a firm defender of children and the right to a quality education marked by – as it could not be otherwise – creativity, based on culture.

Together with Amparo, the new board of directors of one of the most traditional musical groups in the world, the Unión Musical de Llíria, will be made up of 17 women and 13 more men, who will try to lead the Unión to many successes in the coming years. Guaranteeing, from the illusion and responsibility, a prosperous and close sustainable Unión Musical.

4) MAUSOLEOS ROMANOS

Ciudad romana. S. I – II d.C. declarado BIC
