Llíria kicks off its spring music festival program

PRIMAFEST WILL BE THE FIRST EVENT TO BE OFFERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THIS WEEKEND

The Councillor for Tourism, Paco Garcia, today presented the program of music festivals that will offer the City of Llíria for all audiences during the month of April.

As highlighted by the mayor, “the PrimaFest will be the first major event that will open the planned billboard. It will be this Saturday, April 15, from 20.000 hours in the Plaza Major of the town, where we can enjoy the groups ‘El último ke zierre’ and ‘Smoking Soul’, and as a finale the orchestra La Pato”.

This weekend, the entertainment program will continue with the orchestra ‘The Hottubes’ and DJ Santy Mataix, as part of the Paella Festival to be held on Sunday 16 in the park of Sant Vicent, from 16.00 hours.

For the day of the feast of Sant Vicent, Monday 17, after the return of the traditional rogativa to the town, the music will continue in the Plaza Major at 14.00 hours, with performances by the ‘Tokyo Band’ and DJ Brenda Serna.

To end the month, the town will have two new musical events, on Saturday April 29 the “Turia Music Festival”, for lovers of techno music and remember, to be held in the area of El Canó.

And on April 30, the International Jazz Day will be celebrated together with other UNESCO Creative Cities, in an event that will combine music and audiovisual creativity, and with the leitmotiv of the projection of SDG 14 and life under water.

“Llíria activates a whole series of festivals that are born with the desire to promote the town, boost its economy, disseminate its heritage and gastronomy, as well as diversify the music concerts for all audiences in different scenarios and areas of the municipality, making them coincide with the festive days of spring,” said Garcia.

From Turisme Llíria is invited to participate this April in all these shows, as well as in other activities that are being scheduled for the months of June and July such as “Històries Nocturnes” and “LLUM Fest”, to continue enjoying the heritage and music of the city.

4) MAUSOLEOS ROMANOS

Ciudad romana. S. I – II d.C. declarado BIC

Este espacio arqueológico conserva uno de los conjuntos arquitectónicos relacionados con el mundo funerario, más importantes de la antigua provincia romana de Hispania.

Estos monumentos funerarios formaban parte de la antigua necrópolis de Edeta. Se conservan los restos de dos monumentos funerarios dispuestos junto con una de las principales vías de la entrada a la ciudad romana.

Junto a la vía necrópolis, se encuentra el umbral de la entrada al recinto funerario constituido por cuatro losas con la inscripción latina P. CLODIVS EVTYCHVS SIBI ET CLODIAE NATALI VXORI CARISSIMAE que significa “P. Clodio Eutico lo construyó para sí y para Clodia Natalia, su amadísima esposa”.

El primer monumento tiene la fachada decorada con pilastras acanaladas y una cámara interior con dos bancos corridos donde se celebraban las fiestas de los parientes. El segundo monumento pertenece al grupo de sepulcros turriformes y conserva una losa con un orificio central para realizar las libaciones que tapa una cavidad cúbica donde se depositaban las incineraciones y los ajuares funerarios.

Un audiovisual dedicado al mundo funerario romano puede contemplarse en una de las salas de este sótano arqueológico.
