The National Clarinet Competition ‘Llíria, Ciutat Creativa’ will hold its second edition in June

THE LOCAL MUSIC CONSERVATORY WILL HOST THIS CONTEST ORGANIZED BY S&M MUSIC WITH THE COLLABORATION OF THE EDETANO CITY COUNCIL

The Professional Conservatory of Music of Llíria will host, on June 18 and 19, the 2nd edition of the National Clarinet Competition “Llíria, Ciutat Creativa”, organized by S&M Music with the collaboration of the town council.

During these days, people who love the world of the clarinet and music will be able to enjoy both the contest and the different scheduled activities: masterclasses, guided tours, gastronomy, exhibitions of instruments and accessories by the main brands in the sector, in addition to the concerts and award ceremonies that will take place at the end of each day.

For the Councilor for Artistic Education, Paco García, this meeting “comes to complete the list of activities, cultural weeks and training sessions that the Music Conservatory carries out throughout the course. In addition, this year, the participants and their companions will be able to enjoy guided tours of our city organized by Turisme Llíria both on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June”.

“From the Department we are committed to the fusion of music and heritage, symbols of our city’s identity that accompany us as the Creative City of Music in the UNESCO network”, he added.

New prizes

The City Council of Llíria has endowed the first prizes of the 5th and 6th years of professional education and the first prizes of the two levels corresponding to higher education with a recital to be performed within the cultural agenda of the town. Likewise, the Unió Musical and the Banda Primitiva de Llíria will award a special prize to the applicant belonging to the society that obtains the highest score in the contest by performing a recital or concert within the cultural program of each entity.

Along the same lines, in this edition the Professional Conservatory of Music of Llíria has created a special prize for the student who obtains the highest score in the contest. The prize consists of a complete set of material for the instrument and sheet music.

The organization also points out that this year the number of collaborating brands has increased, which has allowed for an improvement in the number of prizes awarded. All the awards sponsored by these companies consist of material for the clarinet as well as sheet music, reeds, mouthpieces, kites and accessories for the instrument.

The director of the Llíria Conservatory, Amparo Esteve, has pointed out that this new edition of the National Clarinet Competition “places our city, the educational center and its musical teachings at the forefront of the Valencian music scene, where they will be able to meet clarinettists from all over Spain”. For this reason, he has encouraged “all clarinet students to come, participate in this educational contest and enjoy a city full of music and emblematic places such as Llíria”.

4) MAUSOLEOS ROMANOS

Ciudad romana. S. I – II d.C. declarado BIC
