THE MAYOR OF LLÍRIA, THE COUNCILOR OF UNESCO CREATIVE CITY AND MEMBERS OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION HAVE RECEIVED AT THE TOWN HALL THE MEMBERS OF THE EXPEDITION THAT HAS TRAVELED THROUGH KOREAN LANDS.

The Mayor of the town, Joanma Miguel, the Councillor for Creative City, Paco Garcia and members of the Municipal Corporation, have received at the Town Hall the members who this weekend returned from the Asian tour with the Ensemble Double Quintet “Llíria City Of Music” in Korea.

This project was framed within the objectives of internationalization, exchanges and musical collaborations worldwide that the City of Llíria is developing with other countries and cities integrated in the UNESCO network.

According to the delegate of UNESCO Creative City, the trip began with the participation of the international director José Miguel Rodilla and Professor Andrés Simeó as members of the jury at the 6th Festival of Youth Orchestras and Bands in the city of Hamyang.

A few days later, the Ensemble “Llíria City Of Music” made its first concert in the same city of Hamyang as a conclusion of the Festival.

The second concert took place in the city of Wonju in its magnificent auditorium and the Llíria ensemble made, in addition to its own performance, a collaboration with the Youth Orchestra of the city as a support and encouragement for the young Korean musicians.

The next concert took place in the capital of Seoul, in the auditorium of an important music house, performing together with the Korean soprano Soyung Yu. Taking advantage of the stay of the llirian musicians, the collaboration of the members of a local choir was requested for this concert, to accompany the end of the performance, which was very emotional.

The fourth concert, the most important of the whole tour, was held in one of the most important and largest auditoriums in South Korea, specifically in the Deajeon Auditorium, as part of the International Music Festival 2023, obtaining a great success and a standing ovation for the musicians from Edet.

The last of the concerts took place in Seoul together with a string orchestra with works by Mozart, Chopin and Bizet. At this point, the maestro and conductor José Miguel Rodilla, is still in Korea to give a Masterclass in conducting at the Classic Academy in the city of Anyang.

The Mayor of Llíria, on behalf of the Corporation and the entire City, wanted to thank all the components that have formed this musical representation of “Llíria City Of Music” UNESCO, for their professionalism and collaboration as ambassadors of the town. Putting the name of Llíria and its musical trajectory as a UNESCO Creative City in large auditoriums and festivals that are organized in South Korea.

4) MAUSOLEOS ROMANOS

Ciudad romana. S. I – II d.C. declarado BIC
