THE LOCAL PROFESSIONAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC WILL HOST THIS WEEKEND’S COMPETITION
Once again, S & M Music and the Department of Artistic Education of the City of Llíria, carry out a new edition of the National Clarinet Competition “Llíria, Ciutat Creativa”, which will be held at the Professional Conservatory of Music in the town throughout this coming weekend.
This third edition, as explained by the Councillor for Artistic Education and Creative City UNESCO Paco Garcia, “the contest has increased the number of participants, up to 80 entries in the different categories of the same.”
The competition remains faithful to its educational objectives among clarinet students, although it should also be noted its growth, year after year, both in the number of participants and in sponsors of the sector who have decided to support this initiative, which starts from elementary to higher education, to cover the different educational stages of music studies.
García pointed out that Llíria “is becoming a benchmark for musical events, in different disciplines, where there have been meetings and master classes with great professionals in different instruments, as well as this clarinet competition or the prestigious International Orchestra Conducting Competition to be held next July”.
