Daniel Joseph, a 23-year conductor with a great international projection

Under his concentration face and his confidence while conducting, there is hidden a young man of only 23 years. His name is Daniel Joseph, and, despite his youth, he has been proclaimed third place in the International Conducting Competition “Llíria City of Music” 2023.

The ICC of Llíria is the first competition he entries. “I am not a fan of competitions because, in many others, other issues than musical issues are assessed,” he explains, “but it has been an experience I thoroughly enjoyed.”

He leaves satisfied to have connected with the orchestra because “if it is only you who gets to feel your music, it is useless.” His technique has been praised by his fellows, the musicians, and the jury, who highlighted his job with contemporary pieces such as Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire or Amparo Edo’s Monologue for chamber orchestra.

He comes to the International Conducting Competition “Llíria City of Music” after being having assisted with a variety of orchestras throughout the UK and Europe and he has worked in various settings with Orchestra Nationale du Capitole de Toulouse, RSNO, BBC Scottish Symphony, Danubia Orchestra Obuda, BBC NOW and the Orchestra of Scottish Opera. Daniel was invited to attend as a Fellow of the 2021 American Academy of Conducting at Aspen.

4) MAUSOLEOS ROMANOS

Ciudad romana. S. I – II d.C. declarado BIC
