The second edition of the International Conducting Competition has already chosen its six semifinalists. Daniel Ros, Alejandro Cantalapiedra, Jaeyuch Choi, Daniel Joseph, Oliver Cope and Vladimir Piskunov will compete on Wednesday to qualify for the grand finale of the competition.
On this occasion, the 12 classified for the second round have conducted a 20-minute rehearsal – five more minutes than yesterday – in front of the jury of the competition made up of Manuel Galduf, José Miguel Rodilla, Ni Fan, Jan Milosz, and Diego Naser. The candidates have faced Elgar’s Serenade for strings Op. 20 and an orchestra of 12 performers.
The competition continues in the Llar dels Jubilats. In this thirs session, the six semifinalists will conduct a 25-minute rehearsal of Mozart’s Symphony No. 29, AM.
