The Consell approves the agreement for the integration of the Llíria Conservatory of Music in the network of the Generalitat

THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION ASSUMES THE OPERATING AND TEACHER EXPENSES OF THE CENTER WITH AN INVESTMENT OF 1.5 MILLION EUROS

The plenary session of the Consell today approved the integration of the Llíria Professional Conservatory of Music, owned by the municipality, into the Generalitat network. Thus, the center of Llíria also happens, together with that of Altea, to depend directly on the system of professional conservatories of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports

The agreements will enter into force the day after they are signed and will be activated for this 2022-2023 academic year. In addition, they will be valid for four years, extendable to four more.

With the signing of these agreements, the Ministry of Education will assume the operating and teaching expenses, with an investment of 1,500,000 euros, of the Llíria Conservatory, which currently has 300 students.

The mayor Joanma Miguel has highlighted that the center “will be able to continue developing its educational excellence under the auspices of the Generalitat, with all the advantages that this entails both for the students and their families and for the City Council itself, which will have significant savings for the coffers municipal”.

In this way, “a historical claim is fulfilled that our Conservatory deserved for its recognition as City of Music and member of the UNESCO Creative Cities network”, he added.

For his part, the mayor of Artistic Education, Paco García, wanted to point out that the transfer “guarantees the best future for the center and will serve to enhance its educational offer.” “By depending on the regional network, students will save 90% of the municipal fees they paid until now, which will help to facilitate equal opportunities in access to music education”, he stressed.

Likewise, “the assumption of the conservatory by the Ministry implies the improvement of the working conditions of the teaching staff, who will maintain their jobs”, commented the councilor.

Classes for the 2022-2023 academic year at the Llíria Conservatory, as the new center of the Generalitat network, will begin on October 19.

4) MAUSOLEOS ROMANOS

Ciudad romana. S. I – II d.C. declarado BIC
